Diego Bouzas Ramos is a PhD student in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Oviedo, Spain. Once he finished the Bachelor in Chemistry in 2013, he obtained the Double Diploma Master's in Analytical and Bioanalytical Sciences (University of Oviedo, Spain) and in Analytical Sciences for Life and Environment (University of Pau, France) in 2014.
In September 2014, he joined the "Analytical Spectrometry Research Group" (University of Oviedo, Spain) headed by Prof. Alfredo Sanz-Medel. Currently, he got a "Severo Ochoa" predoctoral fellowship in 2014 to carry out his PhD thesis, entitled "Metallic nanoparticles for the determination of biomarkers: study of nanoparticle-biological system interactions", on the "Analytical and Bioanalytical Spectrometry Group (GEAB)" of the University of Oviedo and he is working under the supervision of Dr. José Manuel Costa Fernández and Dr. Jorge Ruiz Encinar. In 2017, he did a three-month predoctoral stay in Paris (France) on the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Paris Descartes University (UMR 8638) under the supervision of Dra. Nathalie Gagey-Eilstein.
